Spike...that is how we have come to know him.  But Spike was actually born James Wesley Marsters.  And James is a lovable Leo because he was born August 20, 1969.

This actor, who many say is from England, is actually from Greenville, California.  Though he did spend his formattable years in Modesto, CA.  The accent?  Well, he's a talented guy.  But he says that he turns to Anthony Stewart Head, who plays 'Giles' on
WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for advice.
James has been acting since around the age of four.  But his first major performance was in his school's production of Winnie The Pooh where he played 'Eeyore' at the age of nine.  But as we all know, he has moved up since then.

After graduating from high school, he went on to study at Juilliard, which we know now is a prestigious performing arts school.  From what I gather, James was kicked out, but don't hold me to that.

He moved from there to Chicago, where he turned to the theatre.  There he helped to open a theatre company, which in time took him to places such as Seattle.  But it did not take long to figure out where he needed to be.
His passion took him to Hollywood where he found himself on shows such as Northern Exposure.  But after auditioning for the bleached blonde vampire, James was cast as Spike on WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was a made a permanant fixture on Season Four.
James has landed roles on film such as The House on Haunted Hill and Winding Roads, but he is recognized by most as the slick, sarcastic vampire.

But here are some more personal facts.  James has a brother and a sister and I believe a step sibling.  And I think that his parents are divorced.  But our James stands a mere 5'10 with originally dark hair and eyes of blue.  The scar on his left eyebrow?  Well, he received that while he was being mugged in Queens, New York and our Leo is left handed.
And did you know that he could sing?  Not only that, but he can play the guitar!  He sometimes performs at a nightclub called 14 Below in Santa Monica.  This actor who likes to paint and write is currently single, but he has been heard saying that he is alright with that status for now and is "having fun."  And for those of you who care, he lives somewhere in Los Angeles, CA.
