My heart hurts deep inside
for so many reasons
sometimes I don't know why

Life deals us many cards
some are good, and some are hard

From deep within my heart it cries
wanting happiness,love,and
acceptance from all above

Freedom of spirit,
Freedom of heart,
Freedom to love,and
Freedom from pain is just a part

Pain from childhood,
Pain from life
things that make grow
pain when your heart is broken
more then you'll ever know

Days begin cloudy wondering why
knowing it's your soul
that you can never let die

Keeping the knowledge you've
gained along the way
holding tight to your beliefs
is all you have to play

Starting each morning with a smile
that you know
caring and sharing
is what makes you grow

Having faith in yourself
is what I have learned
the world in peace
is the dream that I hold!
