More fun......
Aside from the main trail there are plenty of other obstacles to play on all along the length of the trail. Half way to the falls there are a couple of small spur trails leading up and to the left. These take you to what I call the "staircase" for lack of a better name. It's a steep rocky section about 40 yards long with a couple of pronounced "steps" thrown in. Those of you with a long wheelbase will have fun making the turns as it took Sean's extra cab Toy a couple of back-and-forth maneuvers to make the turns. My IFS rig manged to get through but not without changing the line a few times. "BushRig" on the other hand crawled up it like it was nothing (if I only had lockers and a solid axle.......) Once at the falls the opportunity for harder stuff is everywhere. On the north side there are plenty of steep granite slabs to test your tires and lockers. Directly in front of the falls there is a large crack running east/west through most of the slab. The crack varies in width and depth, so pick your spot and give it a try. Check the pic of Nathan nose deep in the crack.... A couple of things to note while your up there..... please don't trail blaze new trails....there's more than enough and it will only get the trail closed. Secondly, stay out of the water as this will also give certain people ammo for having the trail closed. (this includes crossing the stream just after the downhill section...)
