3) What is your experience with large breed dogs?
4) Please provide me with the names, breed, description of all pets you
have had within the past 10 years. Are they still with you. If no, why
not?
5) Have you ever given up ownership of a pet to Animal Control, SPCA, or
re-homed a dog? Why?
6) Please provide me with the name, address and phone number of your
current vet. If you currently do not have one, please provide me with the
same information of a previous vet. Please know that I will check to
confirm this information.
7) Please tell me your expectations of me, should you receive a
HouhaSwissys puppy?
8) What activities do you plan on participating in with your dog?
9) What is your home arrangement? All HouhaSwissys puppies must have a
home that has a fenced in yard throughout their entire lives.
"Invisible Fencing", or things similar to this, are not
acceptable.
10)Will you agree on "puppy progress reports", keeping me up to
date on the puppy's health, wellness, adjustments, and successes as well
as struggles? Will you let me know any change of addresses and phone with
14 days of the changes?
11) All HouhaSwissys puppies will come with a contract.
12) At anytime, in the dogs life, that you can no longer provide a stable
home environment, the dog must be returned to me. Will you agree to this?
13) Throughout the life of a GSMD, nutrition and supplements are vital to
healthy growth and over all wellness. Will you agree on a nutrition and
food regiment, designed specifically for your Swissy puppy?
14) Socialization and obedience training is a must for these large,
working breeds. Will you agree to enroll your puppy in "Puppy
Kindergarten" and at the least, a follow up with the completion of
sub-novice obedience before the dog is 9 months old?
15) Are you aware that Swissys puppies can take up to 10 months to house
train?
16) Are
you prepared for a male who may mark? Neutered males are less likely to
mark, however it can still happen at times.
