Koalas
      Habitat
The koala is a marsupaial mammal that lives on the trees of Australia.  It lives on the the eucalypts trees which are along watercourses.  The koalas are mainly active during nightime.   They spend most of their day sleeping or resting which means they are nocturnal. 
Adaptions for Survial
  A koala has feet that are adapted for tree-climbing, with thumbs on all 4 feet that are also sharp (2 in the front feet and one on the back).  The shape of their body is due to their very large intestines,  which is needed to digest the eucalypts leaves.  Their rounded belly is visible and their long arms and legs which can also be seen.  Females also have backward-facing pouch.  They also use their claws to scratch trees or climb them to help them escape from ground preadators like dingoes.
   Diet
   They eat ecualypts leaves which are on eucalypts trees.  The koala aren't found in places with lack of suitable food trees.  The baby koala lives on milk for about a a year. There are also different types of ecualypts for differnet types of gums the koala has.
  Size
The male koala gets to about 4.2-11.5 kgs.(kilograms) and the females get to about 4.1-9.8 kgs.(kilograms) in weight.   The average height for a male koala is 30.7 inches and the female is 28 inches.  At birth they are very small they are the size of a bee.  They weight about 0.5 grams at birth.
   Life Span
The koalas life span varies, due to large amounts of stress factors  it is probaly averaging from 13-18 years.

The eucalypts leaves are made from water and sunshine.  The leaves are eaten by the koala.   Nothing eats the koala but it has treaths by the dingo.
