Club History

The club was started in Fulham in 1922, and according to records, it is the 2nd oldest club in Fulham after Fulham F.C. It has a membership of 90 members (players and non-players). At one time after the war there were four football teams and a minor XI. As well as a Saturday cricket team and a Sunday cricket team there was also a swimming section. Times have changed and there are only two football teams representing East Fulham. There were at times in the past when the teams played at Bishops Park, Fulham (next to Craven Cottage) as well as South Park (near Hurlingham). It has also had grounds at Richardson Evans, Boston Manor P.F and Gunnersbury Park, but has played at the Conquest Club since the early eighties.

In 1997 the club celebrated its 75th anniversary. It played on a regular basis team from Hunstaton in Norfolk since 1936, and at one time even played an American serviceman's team at Richardson Evans. The two teams are due to visit Hunstanton on April 5th for two games of football, and this will be the 50th game played between East Fulham 1st XI and Hunstanton Town 1st XI. Since 1949, the first time after the war when two teams started playing against each other after the war. The club has a trophy cabinet at the Conquest Club.
