The Hour of Resurrection Ministries International

The Hour of Resurrection Ministries International gathered for the first time on March 9, 1997. The twenty people who attended that first meeting bought into the visions of the pioneer founder, evangelist Enoch Ojukwu. The common desire for this ministry is to reach out evangelically into a growing, spiritually-needy nation and to become a Bible-teaching, Christ-centered, Church in and for the people of Africa and Nigeria in particular.


Perhaps, “Conservative Evangelical” best describes our beliefs and practices. To be more specific, we believe the Bible is the inerrant, authoritative word of God, rightly understood in a normal, literal way. The weekly teaching and preaching is a priority to us. We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God, the Son and that His death on the cross was subsidiary – the full and only acceptable payment for the sins of all men. We believe salvation is a gift, given to anyone who personally receives Christ, by faith alone. We believe that once a person trusts Christ for salvation, he or she is in the family of God – forever (a regenerated sinner) and never again to be lost. We believe God the Holy Spirit permanently lives in all believers, beginning from the moment they receive Christ and that victorious Christian living comes from yielding to the Holy Spirit’s control. We believe the Spirit has gifted every Christian for the building up of other Believers and reaching the lost. We look forward to Christ’s return, at any time, to take Believers to be with Him and to a future 1,000 year reign with Christ on earth. Mean while, in our local assemblies, we have a three-fold purpose:

1.) The Worship of God
2.) The building up of the Saints
3.) The reaching of others with the gospel.


We are committed to involvement together in all three; following the positive, personal, and practical guidelines taught in the work of God. We believe Christ gave two ordiances to the church:

1.) Believer baptism
2.) Communion


At the Hour of Resurrection Ministries International, we have several baptism services in a year, baptizing by immersion and a communion service once a month. Jesus Christ is the Chief Shepherd and the pastors are Under-Shepherds in this ministry.
