Lyan looked grimly as the Dark Elven surgeons tended to his imposter. Rhiadora had said a disbanding of the Ka'vanth would appease her and cause Ursah and Mesastina's release. "I do not believe her for a second," Lyan thought darkly, "but if it saves Ursah and Mesastina, I would do it". In order to test her sincerety, Lyan had opted to send his imposter to offer exactly what the Shalon Princess desired. He mostly used the imposter for brief social appearances that he did not feel like attending, but given the highly dangerous nature of this move, he thought this move most prudent.

Judging by the nearly mutilated form laying on the surgeon's table before him, Lyan guessed that the Shalons must not have been very sincere in their offer and that the ruse apparently worked.. Lyan frowned. "I hope the disgraceful manner in which this imposter defended himself will not besmudge word of my fighting prowess," Lyan mused.
