The Burmese – The Dog Cat

 The Burmese is a breed that combines refined good looks with a steady and affectionate nature, a quiet voice and a willingness to please.  These traits make the Burmese a wonderful pet for people of all ages, especially children. 

 Very gregarious the Burmese is highly trainable and can be taught tricks normally the domain of the dog – Blondie, my cream Burmese, fetches and retrieves her toy mice on command.  Burmese are known for enjoying rides in cars, boats and wheelbarrows.  Suki, a brown Burmese, sailed around the world with her owner on his ocean-going yacht.  Walking on a lead is no problem for a Burmese and much easier to train.

 The Burmese breed comes in 10 colours: Brown, Chocolate, Blue, Lilac Red, Cream, Brown Tortoiseshell, Chocolate Tortoiseshell, Lilac-Cream (Tortoiseshell) and Blue-Cream (Tortoiseshell).  Their coat is likely newly iron Satin to touch.  Burmese are medium sized and muscular but surprisingly heavy for their size.  The Burmese has expressive eyes, golden in colour, and has a sweetheart shaped face.

 If you are thinking of adding a cat to your family, consider a gregarious, extremely lovable and intelligent Burmese.  The Burmese is the most popular breed of cat in Australia .  Burmese are noted for their friendliness and self-confidence, making them a much sought after pet.

 Burmese are the Peter Pan’s of the Cat World refusing to grow up.  They play tricks, share a joke, fetch and retrieve as well as most dogs all their lives, not just as kittens.  Party Animal – the Burmese like to play and party at every opportunity.  Life is never dull or boring with a Burmese.  They are instant entertainment for your family, friends, and guests.

 A Burmese will give a child a sense of responsibility.  In fact, evidence suggests that children who grow up with a cat around the house make more successful adults.

 The lovable Burmese turns a House into a Home.  “At the end of the day, when I’m feeling done in, I come to my house; here I’m met with a purr and a soft rub of fur, then I know I belong to my Beautiful Burmese.”

 

 

 A litter of Burmese Kittens, 4 browns and 1 blue, who are presented by our Junior Handlers at an Open Show.  The litter is shown and bred by Karen Lease and judged by Bambi Edwards, International All Breeds Judge, Australia.  Each of the products is of the highest quality and recommended for Burmese.
