So you
want to know a bit more about Asystole the person rather than
Asystole the gamer? Fair enough.
Well to
start my name is James. I am 26 and reside in San Antonio, TX
where I have lived most of my life besides Hawaii, Arizona, Virginia,
and South Carolina. I am a native born Texan.
I am a
professional Firefighter and Medic. I work for the city of
Seguin which lies about 30 miles East of San Antonio. I have
been a paid professional since 1997 and prior to that I volunteered
as a firefighter for several local fire departments.
Besides
playing games on the computer I also enjoy camping, amateur
astronomy, paintball, darts, and pool. Though I am an avid
hunter on my PC in actuality I am not much of a hunter at all.
I've been dove hunting several times but save for a few clay pigeons
I have never actually bagged any animals winged or otherwise.
I am also
very fond of animals. I have a Dalmatian named Spot (go
figure) and Sugar Glider named Molly (she just had a baby).
I get a
lot of questions concerning my screen name Asystole. Asystole
(pronounced a-sis-toe-lee) is a medical term that most anyone in the
medical field is familiar with. It is the term that describes
a specific rhythm of the heart present when there is no longer any
electrical activity occurring within heart. Asystole is the
flat line you see on a heart monitor when the heart has ceased all
activity. Basically means your dead. Anyway since I am
very active in first-person shooter type multiplayer games I thought
this was a morbidly appropriate screen name. Most medics I
have encountered in online games usually get the humor of having
such a screen name.
