The Founding

The Founding:
House Quinotaur was founded on May 2000 to provide a true International Resource for Real Vampires around the world. We feel that currently, there is a huge vacuum open in Vampire Society and an International group of Vampires, led by Real Vampires is needed. While we have the highest respect for the contribution other groups have made to Vampire Society as a whole, in all the various groups we each find something missing, whether it is in ideology, leadership, members or simply location. Each serves a certain niche. We hope to not only gain our own niche but also to open our arms to associating with Real Vampires of all the other ones at the same time.

Order of Nekhbet (House of Nekhbet) was founded back in 1999, in Argentina as a resource for Real Vampires in the country and outside. Nekhbet has been one of the few sites that provides information in English/Spanish. We have been part of the international vampire community since then.

We are eternal. We move through a continuous cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Feeding on life, we exist to Awaken others with our insights, and to bring change to the world.

Vampires are diverse beings, and we in House Quinotaur see this as a strength, one that allows us to bond more closely, rather than something that divides us. Through celebrating our diversity, we unite to empower vampires around the world.

Quinotaur: The sea-beast. Sea-bull who impregnated Merovech's mother. Through this dual fertilization and co-mingling of DNA comes our theory on the genetic role of vampirism. Noone is sure what the Quinotaur looked like, and there are many different depictions of Him, from monster to human-like.

We believe House of Nekhbet represents a vital part of our community, one that must not be lost. Taking this step to unite our two Houses will help us both and through our combined knowledge the community at large. Your drive to empower vampires and your lack of drama is much admired by us, and something our House deeply cherishes.

As the community grows, together our two Houses will serve as an example of how it is possible for many vampires to work with one another for the good of all.

For years the community has fragmented, becoming multi-faceted. While we should always have variety and a multitude of paths for learning, it is time some of those facets combined, going from blinding in their disarray to a bright sheen navigable by other vampires.

We too follow the Veil/Black Veil/13 Rules of Community. In your House we see these guidelines exemplified. It is with great honor that we welcome House of Nekhbet into House Quinotaur.
