Houston Falcons Cricket Club- (Founded February 2003)

 

Houston Falcons Cricket Club was founded in Feb 2003 by members of Elite Cricket Club A team. It was the same team that had managed to reach the quarterfinals of the Winter League 2002-03. All the club officials were elected democratically including the captain and the vice-captain. Couple of other players from different clubs joined before the official season began in 2003 to complete the roster. An agreement was reached with ECC to share the ground at Boone Park for the season. Houston Falcons Cricket Club played its first game in March 2003 against Bhakta India Cricket Club. The match was played at BICC home ground at Tom Bass Park. It was a friendly game that was equally enjoyed by both sides. BICC won the match by 5 wickets. As a new team, HFCC would debut in the Division D of the Houston Cricket League on April 4th, 2003. They play their first game against Port Arthur Cricket Club at Port Arthur.

Falcons Won the  Division Championship in the First year 2003 Under Ruthless Couch &Captain  Kareem Hussein  and got promoted to Division C.

Also Falcons Won the  First Tigers Six - a - Side Championship in 2003 under the command of  Aamir Khan.

In 2004 Falcons finished at number 2 spot in Division C  under the command of Fahim Ibrahim and got Promoted to Division B.
