Here are two pictures of the SS NICHOLAUS, an excursion boat used by the Liederkranz to travel to Sylvan Beach in the late 1920s or early 1930s. From the recent materials in the Liederkranz archives they must have made at least three trips.. In the picture showing the NICHOLAUS tied up at the dock Franz Schenk may be seen in the center staring directly at the camera and standing behind a boy wearing a cap. - Peter
