A lot of people meet Howard Zinn first through his popular history textbook, A People's History of the United States, probably as a result of a class assignment. A People's History is a challenging book to teach and learn from, because it's so radically different from other history textbooks, and because it gives people a chance to stretch their minds and think about what history means - personally and academically.
So, it's just as well to have a page dedicated specifically to teaching materials used with A People's History. Unless otherwise noted, the materials here are available freely to the public. Please be sure to make your contributions, if you can, by submitting any materials you would be willing to share to me, at HowardZinnFans@yahoo.com.
