Perhaps
there was a time

before the questions
the inquisitive search
stirrings and restlessness
as trickles of thought
coalesced into yearning

before occasional glimpses
unreasonable determination
familiarity without experience
as purpose and destiny
spawned their confirmation

before something deep within
integral
grasped beyond comprehension
connecting the points of reality
to supernatural coordinates

To resist is insanity

To ignore, self destruction

To respond, the trigger
accelerating the momentum
as it acknowledges recognition
stretching precariously
straining
to touch the face of God

Perhaps
there was a time
before the voice was heard

Then God created man

My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
