"How Not to Make a Christian Comic" was created out of necessity.
When MEGAZEEN first hit the scene in early 2002 on the web, we were unaware that there was something called a "Christian Comic Movement". We're still not entirely sure what that something is.
What I found was that this 'movement' consisted of a lot of backbiting and bickering. I've found loudmouths with grandiose ideas that have little to do with funnybooks or ministry. And I've found cheesiness aplenty.
The purpose of "How Not To" is to get us to laugh at ourselves a little bit, and that can occasionally be a little painful. It's a story of some great intentions being lost to the distractions of the day.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Who makes the action figures and set? Who writes the scripts?
A: Joe Endres makes the figures and sets, takes the pictures and adds the captions. Several scripts have also been contributed by Tom Hall.
Q: How do you choose what characters to make?
A: Usually for comedic effect. Of all the characters that have appeared in Megazeen and megazeenonline.com, a handful stand out as being good candidates to make us laugh. The complexity of making the character has no effect.
Q: Can you make a figure of one of my characters for me to keep for my very own?
A: Yes, for a fee based on expenses and complexity. Write me for details.
Q: Who ARE these characters? I never saw them before!
A: Then you're not reading Megazeen. Shame on you.
Q: What was the hardest character to make?
A: Blam. He is battery operated and his guns light up.
Q: What was the easiest character to make?
A: Xtra Bold. Just slapped a label on one of my kid's toy plastic bottles.
