They've been around for what seems like millennia, and they will be here long after many of us are gone.

Their demeanor is one of quiet resolution.
They are fixed in their ways, firm and unbending about following the rules, and concrete in their convictions.
"Some would say hard headed." (says Captain Stone.)
But they know their purpose and silently carry it out.

They opened right up for me though, as you will see below.
It's as if they hadn't spoken in hundreds of years.

They are both unflappable...yet not without a sense of humor. In response to a comment about growing somewhat sedentary in his old age, Captain Stone once replied:
"Oh, I don't know 'bout that...Maybe I don't move as fast as I did in my younger days, but I've still got what it takes to bust a skull, if need be."
A thoughtful Colonel Rock nodded almost imperceptibly, and then added: "I've never seen him have to hit a man twice...but you've got to push him pretty hard to get him to that point. As character goes, I'd have to say that he is rock-solid.(pardon the pun) He's always there for you. And it's not fair to say he doesn't get around anymore. We did some travelling together last year, saw Hawaii. You should have seen him at the islands...he's a little nervous around water. I guess he's afraid he may fall in, and sink like...well, a stone."

Rock and Stone are the perfect compliment to each other. They have been working together for so long that they practically finish each other's sentences. It's almost like they have some kind of understanding that goes beyond the spoken word.
