Ashley -I Hate to say it but when my older brother handed me Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and said "Go read it you will like it" I took the book and was like ya right Im never going to read this. You see when I was in sixth grade I was not a reader. I didn't enjoy reading at all I guess because I never found a book I thoroughly enjoyed. The book lay in my closet for about 6 months until I decided to clean it out. I guess when I picked it up again I was in a reading mood. I opened the book and read the first chapter. I didnt understand it at all but I kept reading thinking I would. And I did. On the second chapter I begain to understand and I kept reading. I ended up really enjoying it and asked my brother if I could have the 2nd in the series. He gave it to me and nagged at me for reading the 1st one to fast and to read them slower so you could enjoy it more. But I couldn't put it down. I read deep through the night until I couldn't keep my eyelids open or I was dazing off and not paying attention to them because I was so tired. I read the first three books in 1 week. I couldn't wait till the 4th Book would come out because I was obssessed. In the summer after sixth grade I went to the book store with my mom to pick it up. I read the part that told about the book atleast ten times on the ride home and my brother ordered me not to start because he was going to read it first so I decided not to start since I wouldn't even be able to finish it. My brother read 11 chapters and then stopped because he had to read school books. He still wouldn't give it to me! 7th Grade came and I met Kyle ANne I saw she was reading one of the series and I told her how I loved them also but I had not read the 4th one yet. She urged me on and said just take it from your brother. I ended up finally getting the book. I read it in 1 weeks time because I had homework and school going on unlike the first time I go the other 3 in the series. After I finished the fourth book Kyle Anne and I talked about nothing more than Harry Potter. We instantly became best Friends still are from 3 years.
