          TRANSPORTATION

Apparating/Disapparating- This method is commonly used among professional or more-experienced wizards and witches. This approach to transportation involves the wizard appearing anywhere, out of thin air. The same concept applies to Disapperating, where the wizard leaves the location and goes to another.

Broomstick- The broomstick is the most formal way, usually, for a wizard or witch to get around. They're handing, portable, and not to mention very traditional. Like cars, they come in different brands and speeds, so expect many variations. Broomsticks are also used for players to get around in the sport of Quidditch.

Floo Powder- Yet another known source for wizard travel. This simple powder is thrown into a fireplace, while the wizard or witch steps in without harm, yells out the location of where they want to go, and they are instantly transported. Although, there are some defects, including: incorrect destination arrival and motion sickness.

Flying Motorcycle- The only known flying motorcycle in use is currently owned by Hogwarts game keeper, Rubeus Hagrid. The owner of this classic-style bike was originally Sirius Black.

Hogwarts Express- This is the famous magical train, which transports Hogwarts students yearly to and fro, from Platform 9 3/4 to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Horseless Stagecoaches- This technique of journey requires a regular stagecoach, just without horses. Interesting concept, huh? One of these horseless stagecoaches is owned by Madame Maxime, headmistress of the other wizard school, Beauxbatons.

The Knight Bus- The famed Knight Bus is known for picking up lost or stranded wizards and witches anywhere in the world and safely transporting them back to a location of their choosing. Inside this vehicle, which is actually a regular English, double-decker bus, there are beds for overnight stay and the bus itself, may appear periodically. It can travel through many distances at very fast speeds, while everything in their way literally moves!

Magical Ship- This magical ship is able to travel underwater, yet it's built like an 18th century model. The wizard school, Durmstrang has one of these magical ships within their ownership.

Owl Post- As obvious as it is, the Owl Post is the wizard's post office. It is the most-preferred way of communication to the public. Owls, instead of planes, cars, or mailmen, fly to-and-fro from place after place, after place to deliver mail. These owls work tediously and have no time to loose, unless they're just sleeping on their perch back at the station!

Portkey- Since Muggle trains and buses can get clogged up at times, these very clever wizard method of travel proves to be useful. It involves an item—any item, which will transport any wizard from one point to another at a prearranged time, away from prying Muggle eyes. At the moment, there are two hundred Portkeys placed, strategically around the area. Portkeys are mainly used for those who don't Apparate or just can't.

Trains- Like many muggles, wizards can travel in regular trains of course, except some may seem invisible to the non-magical eye. One example is of the Hogwarts Express.
