Below a picture of one of the last officially class 37 hauled London sleepers pulling into Crianlarich at the end of May 2006 at around 10 pm . The loco was 37405.
The soundrecording was ruined by some "xxxxx" with his squeezing shoes and his babbling, although I asked him very friendly beforehand to be as quiet as possible because of my recordings.
Very annoying: no wind was around , one could hear the loco clearly from far away already [ this was only very seldom the case during all my recordings ], also no rain, only the usual midges annoying me, no cars on the normally extemely busy A 82 near the station [ this was even less often the case ] and the loco driver had been asked beforehand to kindly make some extra engine noise when pulling into Crianlarich.
So everything was perfect, except from this .....!!!
Me being the "prime idiot" having travelled again some 50 miles from my B&B to make these useless recordings!
