Gates and the Moat

The Main Sallyport (entrance). Just inside here is the Old Stockade. Prisoners were confined here in a large chamber and adjacent cells. N 37°00.239 W076°18.571	This is the Postern Bridge which leads to the Casemate Museum. It is for pedestrians only.
The HECP is on the east bastion (right), and in the background is the rampart that features the Jefferson Davis Memorial Park.	The moat, looking toward the north bastion.
