Hrithik hurt in 'KRISH' shooting

It was a different shot for screen star Hrithik Roshan today as he took first-hand golfing lessons from cricketer-turned golfer Kapil Dev at the Hero Indian Sports Academy (HISA) celebrity Golf here today.

Dressed in pristine white sports apparel and cap, the actor wielded the Golf club under the supervision of the former cricket captain. The actor, nursing a wrist injury, meticulously followed the instructions of the captain, who demonstrated his golfing skills at the club. The actor tried to follow suit, much to the glee of his fans around.

"I have now come to respect those who play golf," he said after he tried his hand at putting but was unable to make it despite repeated tries and encouragement from fans.

Other celebrity members who also took their lessons in putting and the various shots from expert golfers included athlete and Olympian from Karnataka, Ashwini Nachappa, actor Vinod Khanna as well and top notch corporate honchos like Lee Kennedy and Phaneesh Murthy.

The day also saw some of the celebrities and avid golf lovers participating in a golf tournament, comprising corporate heads and celebrities. Among those who gave the ball a shot were shooting champion Rajyavardhan S Rathore, actor Madhavan, director Mani Ratnam, cricketers Syed Kirmani and Kapil Dev.

Tennis star Sania Mirza and former cricketer Mohd Azharuddin also took part in the event, organised on the sidelines of the Hero Indian Sports Academy Awards,to be presented later this evening.
