Iceskating
A pause, reverse, then break, twirl
Above the fish in clearest ponds
Heartbeats ring out chordal spinal over air there
In the echo is all of us- everyone-
Like the fish trying to burst out of their watery trap
Human blood is also trying to crash out of bodies against the ice
Bomber planes rocket above in the upper clouds
The reflections lazily roll by
And eventually it all fades to a big windy passage
Of falling leaves, minnows in murky puddles, caves
Of dark icicles under the moon
The whole human race bubbling like water faucets
In the frigid memory tubules
And down comes an entire galaxy of snow
And the ice skaters prouncing thru the flower fields
Are satisfied just to be similar to flying trees
Cuz that's what what the sky sees: humans as flying trees, oh yeah
(In the brightest of light but with no eyes at all
Can't see, can't see, anything)
And the realtor who sells office buildings pirouettes
Just glad to be alive
And the members of the women's CPA club hold hands
Just glad to be alive
The corporate managers just fall on their asses so glad to be alive
The young doctors clap hands with glee just glad to be alive
