Exalt the name of Jesus, what does that mean? Go lift up the name of Jesus, protraying that we have seen. If you don't see what I see, then you are coming up short, You're a heathen to me. I go to church on Sunday, Come Sunday, where will you be? That is self-righteousness forcibly proclaimed Be it far from us once for Christ we are named. If we know, then we live, If we have, that we give. We can't live by a name that we do not understand. We cannot relate to others as the body of an unknown man. To know is to be, may I say again and again, to know is to be. I am, I am, I reflect on that known by me! I've heard it said, if you knew me you would love me That is so true. Love from your heart would be compelled If only you knew. Did you ever see the face of a little child Rejected and alone You would love to have Taken in your arms and comforted If only you had known? This is the compelling love of Jesus Christ our Lord We can convey it in His Spirit, there is no law against His Love. If people don't see me and desire to know Him Then I hang my head in shame For through my immature zeal And frivilous whim I have failed to exalt His Name. I have never felt true repertorie From one I leactured in word alone But I have seen humble longing for more Where the Spirit was free to wisely Penetrate that veil of the unknown. So you see, exalt Him, lift Him up Means desiring the milk of the Word fill our cup. If we knew the Word of the Lord Or the power of His Love We would not condemn the guiltless But rather bear them into His kingdom above.
