Raisin Chess Pie

1/2 stick butter                     
1/4 t. salt
1 cup gran. sugar
3 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chopped raisins          
1 t. Vanilla


Cream butter, salt, and sugar. 
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Blend in walnuts, raisins and vanilla.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 425 for 10 min. then lower to 325 for apx. 35 min.
