	2002 COAL LEADER SAFETY AWARD IS PRESENTED TO ROGER RUNYON BY BILL WOOTEN OUTGOING PRESIDENT OF THE ARACOMA COUNCIL HOLMES SAFETY ASSOCIATION .  CONGRATULATIONS ROGER
		West Virginia State Council of the Holmes Safety Association The twentieth Annual State Holmes Safety Association meeting will be held on May 30 and 31, 2003, at Snowshoe Mountain.  The meeting will begin on Friday evening with registration and a reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The Friday evening session which begins at 7  p.m. has been set aside for companies to recognize mines and / or individuals that have made noteworthy contributions toward safety during the past year.  Oral presentations nominationg management individuals as "Coal Safety Leaders" and miners in non-management work positions as "Miner's Safety Sentinels" will be made at the friday evening session.    Nominations should be submitted no later than May 16,2003. The awards will be presented at the banquet on Saturday evening.
