6/98 Three votes for: Verrill Farms in Concord (Rt 2 to 117
toward Sudbury). They also have pick your own veggies and flowers, all sorts, and a nice farm store. Not particularly cheap, but very nice.
| Also mentioned: Goodale Orchards (Route 1A in Ipswich near Crane's Beach). As well as the pick your own, d on't neglect the barn store which has wonderful cider donuts. Worth the trip. It's also a few miles away from Woodman's, a seafood restaurant, also worth the trip! Tougas Family Farm in Northboro/Marlboro. Easy to get to - about 45 minutes. We've been picking everything (strawberries, peaches, blueberries, apples) there for years, and they have a great farm kitchen too. The strawberry season just started this week, so next weekend (6/20-21) should be ideal. Prices are competitive but not a huge savings off a good farm stand. (508) 393-6406 | |||||||||||||||
