8/98 *we use "Pet Companions" on Broadway in Somerville, and have been very happy with them. They let the dogs run loose around a big house and a yard, and they all seem to get along. The owner and others working there are friendly dog lovers. Costs about $35 a night (I'm curious how this compares with a traditional kennel, since we never used one. Do you know?).
| *On the advice of my neighbor, I called the Pooch Palace in Watertown (617)9247790. His dog, Boomer, loves to go there. The dogs are all interviewed and medical records checked before being accepted. Dogs are allowed to run free, under supervision, in the fenced yard, and sleep on futons in bedrooms at night. Your dog will be treated to the house food, or if you prefer, you can pack your own food. The cost per day is on a per pound basis. The estimate for my Australian Shepherd (~40 lbs) was $25. *I would highly recommend Palmer Kennel in Acton on route 2A. It is about 20 minutes from Abt. They LOVE dogs and treat them very well. We have a very shy and nervous dog who really like to go there because she gets personal attention. | |||||||||||||||
