6/99 ***Mass General right next door at 185 Alewife has a team of physicians. You could check them out. I like their convenience. They accept Allamerica.

Try giving Bulfinch Medical Group a call at 7246670 to see if they participate. She is right at the Brookline Village stop on the D line. I had an introductory appt with her last week and I was very pleased. She is in internal medicine with a pulmonary subspecialty. She also has a nurse practictioner and a GYN in her office to cover those issues. Here are the responses I've gotten so far. Dr. Catharine Mintzer, in particular, seems to be very popular with Abt Staff. In addition to the written messages below, several people stopped by my office to recommend her as well.... I go to Catharine Mintzer 617 864 8822. She's older (mid-50s?), used to be a nurse practitioner, and I felt quite comfortable with her (she's very down-to-business, but at the same time she was willing and able to take the time to answer a whole list of questions that I had). Best of all, she's located just up the street and I had less than a 10 minute wait... I have only seen my primary care physician once, but really like her. Another Abt employee referred her to me, and really likes her as well. Her name is Catharine Mintzer and she is at 725 Concord in Cambridge (right down the street). Dr. Catharine Mintzer is my doctor. She is located up Concord Ave about 2 blocks from the traffic circle. I really like her and have since recommended her to many other people here who also have had good things to say about her. If you are interested in a female Dr., you may want to try Dr. Catherine Mintzer, at the same address as Wellisch, but part of a different practice. Her number is 617-864-8822. Fortunately, I haven't needed her for anything other than routine care, so I can't comment too much on her medical abilities. But she's easy to talk to and pleasant, and you can't beat the convenience of the office. ***My husband uses Ricardo Wellisch and likes him very much. Actually both Wellisch and Sandin are at 725 Concord. Wellisch is my physician and he's excellent. He's compassionate and knowledgeable. I have seen Sandin once when Wellisch was out. She seemed nice. She is probably quite good if she is part of that practice. My doctor is Margaret Sandin at 725 Concord Avenue. She has been my primary care physician for about 2 years and I absolutely love her. She always makes herself readily available and makes me feel extremely comfortable. The people at that office are extremely nice, and whenever I have a problem they squeeze me in right away. Margaret Sandin is my primary care physician. My visits to her have been basically routine, so within those constraints I've been quite pleased with her services. ***My primary care physician is Dr. Ann Morvai, 180 Mass. Ave Arlington, I was recommended to her appox. 5 years ago and love her. She's probably the best doctor I've been too. Her and her staff make you feel important and not just like another number.
