7/99 Jordan the Tailor, on Newbury Street silk purses out of anything!
| Do NOT, under any circumstances, bring ANYTHING to Frances Tailoring in Arlington Center. She is a very amusing, crazy old Italian woman with an unfortunate penchant for losing articles! Rizzo, Harvard Square. 7/00 ***there is a woman on belmont st. (very close to the mt. auburn star market) i think the shop is called Queen or Queenies she did a great, fast job ***I've happily used an Asian tailor shop: Elegant Tailor (& Dry Cleaning), on Mass ave between Porter and Harvard: 5473804. I've only used them for fairly simple things like hems, but they really seem to know what they're doing. ***I've never had a very elaborate dress altered, but the best tailor I've ever been to is Mt. Auburn Tailoring on 513 Mount Auburn St in Watertown. (Phone: (617)9238006) I had a suit altered there as a rush job a few years ago not only did they do it quickly (I think a day turnaround?), the tailoring was excellent...I would trust them with any delicate fabrics or complicated clothing structure. It's a very small shop, but they know what they're doing. | |||||||||||||||
