3/99 The Thoreau Club in Concord is a very nice place to take lessons or all types and they have lots of tennis related activities as well.
| I know of several people who have taken lessons through Harvard either their Extension School or a summer tennis clinic that they have. The Boston Center for Adult Education might also offer lessons. The town of Belmont also has lessons, but you must be a town resident. You can also work on your game by joining the Abt Tennis league this spring it will give you a chance to play on a regular basis. Belmont Tennis Club about 2 miles from Abt. The Concord rec department has lessons, some of which are usually on Saturday. They are held at Emerson field on the town courts. I just signed up for tennis lessons through the Cambridge Adult Education Center. I have not taken them yet so I am not sure how they are.... The price was right, $84 for 6 lessons (for classes though, not private). Courts are somewhere in Waltham. Cambridge Recreation Dept offers very reasonably priced lessons. The mail registration date has passed but you can sign up by walking in on the registration day. | |||||||||||||||
