2/00 ***There's a guy in Maynard, at the corner of Rt. 62 and 27, named "Auto Upholstery Co." who does more than just auto upholstery. We had him redo an old chair a few years back and were pleased with the results. (Don't let the appearance of his shop put you off.) LarryK
| ***I highly recommend Acton Refinishing (2638233). They did an amazing job for me on three big pieces of furniture last summer. It took longer than they expected but it was worth the wait. Ask for JP. I don't know if they do upholstering. ***Try Fabric Corner in Arlington. ***I've been to a terrific guy in Leominster. Marcoux. I've seen his truck go by in Lancaster, so I know he delivers, but don't know how far ***I have not used this upholsterer personally, but he has come highly recommended: His name is Lucien and he's located in Waltham (617) 8934599. He's supposed to be unbelievably inexpensive.. but very good. ***I understand that Upholstery Plus on Watertown Street in Newton (Rt. 16) does a good job with competitive prices. I've never used them, but a friend and my sisterinlaw were satisfied with their work in the past. ***I used an upholsterer in Maynard for a similar job, and it turned out nice. He's not very organized (read: his place and business sense are a mess), but his work was good. He's at the corner of Rt. 27 and 62 in Maynard, and I think it's called Auto Upholstery Co. ***Pappas Furniture Refinishing is the only one around here that I know of. My Mom swears by him. He's in Arlington, behind Continental Cablevision. Sorry, don't have the number! ***You might try calling The Caning Shoppe, 2000 Mass. Ave. (just outside Porter Square), Cambridge, 5473054 or 5604.
