| Each Serving | ||
| 1 | large banana, cut lengthwise, then in half as needed to fit small dessert bowl | |
| 1 | Tbsp | butter |
| 3-4 | Scoops | vanilla ice cream |
| 3 | Tbsp | walnut pieces |
| 2 | Tbsp | ginger brandy, or mixed brandy and rum |
| Melt butter in saute pan over medium heat |
| Brown banana lightly on both faces |
| Add one Tbsp brandy or rum and flambe |
| Add one scoop ice cream and saute until partially melted on the outside |
| Pour into small dessert bowl |
| Top with rest of ice cream |
| Garnish with walnut pieces |
| Add remaining brandy and flambe |
| Variations: |
| For lower alcohol content, add all the brandy/rum to the saute step |
| Ice cream can be served separately for a cleaner presentation |
