Sugared Walnuts |
4 | cups | shelled raw walnuts (1 pound) |
3/4 | cup | dark brown sugar, loosely packed |
1 | Tbsp | sugar |
1/4 | cup | unsalted butter, melted |
Preheat oven to 400F |
Roast walnuts in preheated oven for 10 minutes on foil-lined cookie sheet |
Remove walnuts immediately and turn off oven |
Add melted butter into a large mixing bowl |
Toss hot walnuts in melted butter until coated |
Add brown sugar and mix until coated |
Add sugar and mix until coated |
Spread walnuts back on cookie sheet and place in warm oven (heat off) with door ajar |
Remove when cool |
