Fantasy and reality are states of perception of the mind. More simply, they are personalised to each individual, because what is fantasy to one person may be a quite distinct reality to another.
Reality then is the perception of what is truest to an individual current present in life. It is the result of initial thought and validation through proving and gathering of evidences to support these thoughts. After these processes, reality, or the true state of being for that individual, is the outcome. An individual therefore substantiates thoughts into realities through complex processes of reasoning. Of course, this may only take a few seconds to realise or may not take any time at all. Some realities may only be realised after years.
From this argument, all realities derived from initial thoughts. The state of being at this exact moment may hold different realities and fantasies by each and everyone of us simply because of our different thoughts. An example of this is science. Perceived realities here often are very contradictory unless proven time after time and has stood against all debunking attempts. Truth has been reached and generally accepted but it should not to be taken lightly or for granted.
At least though, science is always scrupulously recorded - human thoughts, emotions and generally human existence, all are very tangible elements to life are not so well recorded. There must always be a balance between the physical attributes ( physical realities ) and those spiritual elements in life. At present there is not this balance. Realities or fantasies cannot exist without thoughts. In the same way, emotions also clearly cannot exist without realities.
So how does emotion relate to this? After all, our presents and realities, or indeed our whole being revolves around emotions. This is what makes us human.
We all have feelings about our present; whether they be great feelings or down right miserable ones. Therefore, it must be correct to say that these emotions are brought about by our realities. It follows that such emotions must have originated from those initial thoughts which had brought about our realities. The argument then follows that, if those thoughts are positive ones then emotions are likely to be positive. If they are negative then emotions are again likely to be negative. Our realities and our emotions must therefore be directly related to whatever thoughts we started out with on the road to establish truth and realities. Is there truth to this statement? This must be validated somehow.
If this is true, then human lives ( of which presents and realities are included ) and emotions are thus easily swayed by external ideas and new forces, if not strengthened by spiritual support. If our skills of reasoning and judgement are weak then the boundaries between realities and fantasies are often blurred. People perception of what is fantasy and reality is distorted. Our emotions inevitably are also affected. This seems true because many people that we come across in life, as well as ourselves, are never in total control of their emotions.
"Studying science is easier than studying psychology" is a phrase heard many times. How true this is because the human emotions and realities are far too complex. This is not an excuse not to try however.
Fantasy on the other hand is the opposite to reality, yet intricately linked to it. Fantasy, or more often loosely termed as dreams, are also initiated from thoughts but unsubstantiated through facts and evidences. Therefore, it is classed as mere fantasy and does not form part of our real lives. As realities, there are emotions linked to fantasies and dreams. Emotions here are often more positive, though negatives also exists, simply because we choose our fantasies. These emotions hold equal place in our lives as those from realities. The extent of these emotions may indeed have similar intensities. They are thus very real. If it is possible to benefit from fantasies and dreams as part of our very real lives, but in a controlled way, then we can not dismiss them.
Dreams and fantasy, or indeed aspirations, do not stop there however. Thoughts on what are regarded as today's dreams and fantasies may one day actually result in real emotions of the realities of the future. Why? The human mind as discussed above always strive to prove thoughts, perhaps even through actions, into some kind of reality. Thoughts of fantasies turned thoughts of realities are very often firstly lead to positive emotions. Thoughts of fantasy more often than not inspire an individual to think, prove and experience positive emotions of reality. Such inspired individuals are often called "dreamers". Incidentally, creativity also stemmed from this line of thinking.
Whether they are doers, or just dreamers who do nothing,
loosing touch with all realities in the process, is another matter...but
those dreamers are those who would actually bring forth new realities from
what were once pure stuffs of dreams and fantasies.
