Recently I have attended the second opening day of the VSAUK, and have read the first VIETSEN magazine. This has lead me to the following opinions:
I feel that a greater unity among young Vietnamese is beginning to portray itself in VSAUK. The most important thing is that we are lucky to have so many who care about matters concerning the future of young Vietnamese. They have helped to build a base of which we can relate to, so that being young a Vietnamese becomes more meaningful with shared strength and encouragement. In addition the convenience of technology has meant that together through the exchange of E-mail messages as well as the Web page, young Vietnamese people can communicate with each other in the VSAUK Forum in a quick and convenient way.
Many times when I am checking my e-mail, I find a list of recent news about VSAUK. As well as this, members of VSAUK can ask for or bring forward the attention of information about Vietnam, express ideas and exchange knowledge through various mediums such as Viet Sen .
At this point, what I have seen is that, these messages, whether they are to do with personal feelings or requests all bear a unified intention, for they highlight ways of sharing and helping each other. They help us to enrich our knowledge about currents affairs, life in Vietnam, how VSAUK is developing and most importantly provide us an opportunity to meet with other fellow young Vietnamese and exchange ideas.
Personally for me, the first Viet Sen magazine had many useful qualities. I felt that there was something in it for each of us to relate to. Articles about study or work, and those that examine what is going on in our society, are all valuable. They encourage our awareness of what is going on around us. For me, VSAUK tries to bring together what I feel is sometimes missing among young Vietnamese which is the focus the our awareness of our self-identity.
Finally, I would like to congratulate those who have set up the VSAUK, because young Vietnamese need people like you, who have had the courage to join together the little pieces of Vietnam that are in all of us, embroid it into one matrix so that others can have something to learn and share with. Most of all, it is the feeling of belonging which gives strength to us all.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and wishing VSAUK all the very best for the future.
