HSVVN Goals and Objectives

Mission Statement
HSVVN mission is simple - we're trying to provide a link between Vietnamese students through out the U.K, to promote the philosophy of "Viets understand and help Viets via friendship and cooperation", and to remind us all that the best way to help ourselves is to help each other regardless of our differences in religion or political stand.

HSVVN is founded to achieve the following goals and ojectives::
1. To promote friendship and cooperation between our members
2. To provide the opportunity for the youths, students, professionals, and the public to learn and promote Vietnamese culture and history.
3. To help Vietnamese voluntary organisations and communities in the United Kingdom
4. To contribute toward the advancement of the welfare of Vietnamese in the United Kingdom.
Membership
There are two types of members: Active Member and Associate Member.
a) Criteria in becoming an Active Member:
1.Of Vietnamese national or descent of a Vietnamese national.
2.Holding or currently studying a university degree (or university-equivalent education)in the U.K.
3.Who have filled in our application form and paid the annual subscription fee. Active Members have the right to vote for Committee Members and HSVVN important issues.

b) Criteria in becoming an Associate Member:
Any Vietnamese national or descent of a Vietnamese national aged 16-35 who have paid an annual subscribtion fee.

Membership privileges
a) All members receive the same privileges in all HSVVN activities.
b) All members receive HSVVN newsletter and annual reports.
c) Member's privileges and rights are automatically terminated once membership is void.
Membership privileges can not be transferred to or exchanged with other people.

Annual Membership Fee: GBP 3.50
Membership can be terminated due to one or more following reasons:

1.Member notifies the membership officer about his/her decision to nullify membership.
2.Associate membership is automatically void once a member is qualified in becoming an Active Member.
3. Committee have the power to refuse membership application.
The committee has the right to apply disciplinary actions against member(s) under the following circumstances:
Member demonstrates conduct and carries out activities deemed damaging to the reputation of HSVVN, or diverging from HSVVN mission and goals.
