Fonts go back to default in tables Unless you put the font tag inside the table cell. But it's different in Netscape vs IE! Colspan lets you create titles, like above.
Cells can be centre aligned. Or vertically aligned Or have background colors of their own. Note this row has only four TD tags.
Observe how this cell, by being crammed with more text than the others, affects the size of the cells around it. Notice the odd appearance of cells that have no content. The picture to the right has a rowspan of 4

Here is the default alignment for text. Observe the table's background colour. This row again has five cells.
Now we're back to our large, Arial text.
