Introduction

Founded by Master Tan Choo Seng in 1971, the objectives for the Kota Tinggi branch are to promote

·        Hua Tiong pugilistic art

·        Health and fitness activities

·        Social and Community interactions

In 1991, the Hua Tiong Kota Tinggi branch officially registered as an Association in Malaysia. Led by Mr Tan Chor Sing, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Executive members and members of the Kota Tinggi branch, many wushu, community and social events were organized creating a vibrant Association in the Kota Tinggi town as well as recognition from the martial arts federation. There were also many good martial artists who represented Malaysia under the leadership of Master Tan Choo Seng, Chairman Tan Chor Sing and his team of instructors (see section on Training & Achievements).

One of the greatest achievement for the Kota Tinggi branch was to assist the Kota Tinggi Primary School to raise more than RM50,000 for building a School Hall. In 1983, this School Hall was named the "Hua Tiong Hall".
