The kids have spring break this week and we spent the day at Disneyland and California Adventure! Matthew was the official map reader whenever we stopped long enough to look at a map.
We worked out a nice system for riding the rides - the parents stayed away from the ones that go in circles, David and Dad went on the rollercoasters and Mom, girls and Matthew enjoyed the calm rides.
We also divided up by gender - splash mountain was a hit and as you can see we took pictures of the pictures! The hat you see on David's head ended up flying off and we are waiting to see if it turns up in lost and found. **Hat Update** - the hat was found, Disney mailed it back to us and after much cleaning it is back to normal!! = - )
We loved the Aladdin Musical show at California Adventure and overall, it was a fun-filled day of adventure and non-stop racing from one attraction to the other.
Matthew learned to ride his bike today! We took off the training wheels a few days ago and he practiced a little bit, but today he just took off and is riding like a pro! He still needs a little work because right now he can only turn left and hasn't quite figured out the brakes. = - )
Our girls were in a play - "A Little Princess" - Angelica was Lottie and Jennifer was Lily.
The whole play was VERY good and were we very proud of all the hard work and practice they put into it.
The girls all enjoyed the curtain call and the audience enjoyed the show!
Happy Easter! We woke up at 5:45 a.m. to go to a sunrise service, but we still had time for the traditional easter basket/kid pictures. (This may be the last year you see David with an easter basket = - )
Doug was the preacher at the Easter Sunrise service downtown and we joined him.
After the service downtown, we headed over to our church and my Sunday School class of 3 and 4 year olds.
