We took a spring break trip to Yosemite National Park for the first week of April. Keith and Daniel were even able to spend one night camping under the stars with us.
We finally bought a bigger tent for our growing family - now the guys have one side, the girls have the other and we aren't squished anymore! The kids enjoyed roasting strawberries, chips and veggies and then David jumped over the fire.
The biggest highlight of our week was the SNOW!!!! It started out as rain and during the middle of the night we were very surprised to wake up to snow and Kathy made everyone get out of the tent at 1:00 a.m. for a family picture (notice the snowflake in front of Kathy's face!)
The snow was so amazing and such a blessing - taking a walk in the newly fallen snow was just the best memory and the views were absolutely breathtaking.
After the snow melted, we took a walk to Mirror Lake and were rewarded with a picture perfect view and crystal clear reflection!
We ended our spring break trip with a drive over to San Francisco, enjoyed the view from Coit Tower and drove down Lombard Street.
Later we walked across the Golden Gate bridge
and ended our day at the Full House house before we headed back to Los Angeles and our favorite street sign! It was a fun trip!
The annual city-wide track meet was held at the high school and Angelica came in 3rd in the 1600 meter run!
The other Hubbard kids didn't get any medals this year, but they had fun hanging out with friends and running different races.
With our mild April days, the pool is back in use!
Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Arlene came back to L.A. after their Hawaiian cruise with t-shirts for all and a few days later they returned to Denver - it was a fun visit! = - )
Here's a sneak peek at our vacation plans for this coming summer - we're driving to Alaska - 6,400 miles round trip! = - )
Time for band pictures! The marching season ended in December, then we moved on to the concert season and the band came home with a gold medal at their final concert competition this month (they were the only musical group in the whole competition to get gold)!
