We began the Christmas season with a concert by the 2nd graders at Matthew's school.

The kids had a great time singing and then we came home and decorated for Christmas.
Woody (our favorite Alaskan souvenir) liked his decoration, but was greatly disturbed by what happened to his relatives in the fireplace! = - )

Our band marched in another Christmas Parade and as always we had a great crew of parent volunteers.

This year I was able to purchase 75 Santa hats to help the band look more festive. You can see the rest of the parade pics at our photo site @http://www2.snapfish.com/photolibrary/t_=38620491

We had a fun night of bowling with our foster care friends and a wonderful support group reunion - the kids are all growing up so fast!

Time for our annual Branch Christmas party - gift exchange game, baby Quincy joined the girls group and another Branch family picture.

The middle school Christmas concert was enjoyed by all - the 2 orchestras, 2 concert bands and the chorus performed.

There was also plenty of spare time to hang with friends. You can see the rest of the concert pictures at our Snapfish site @http://www2.snapfish.com/photolibrary/t_=38620491

Time for our annual Sunday School Christmas Program - here are a couple of pics of Kathy's preschool class singing "Away in a Manger" with their favorite stuffed animals.

Matthew's class recited a Christmas poem during the program. You can see the rest of the Christmas program pictures in our photo site album @www.hubbardfamilyupdate.com

For Christmas eve lunch we enjoyed Rosario's homemade posole and tamales - yum.

Angelica gave Martin and Rosario a painting she created based on "A Starry Night," later on in the evening we had to work for our Christmas presents by working on a santa puzzle savenger hunt created by Grandma Marianne and Uncle Phillip and then the kids all opened one gift each before bed.

Merry Christmas! We opened presents and then attended the 11:00 worship service at church.

The gifts were much appreciated and Matthew modeled his new squishy ball hat from Santa!

A family gift was "Super Scrabble" and we decided to begin the annual New Year's Day scrabble game a few days early! Super Scrabble takes more time (especially when you have 5 people) so we took a picture of the board and will continue on January 2nd (after the Rose Parade - it's on the 2nd this year) - come back then to see the final results! = - )

Happy 15th birthday David!
