1996~1998 Quasi-Phase-Matched Second-Order Nonlinear Effects: proposal of novel numerical methods vital to QPM device modeling, fabrication of PPLN chips using one-direction-heated proton exchange, difference frequency generation using PPLN chips 
1996~1998 Diode-Pumped Technology: setup a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser for difference frequency generation, diode-pumped second harmonic generation with a LiIO3 crystal, design of a diode-pumped optical parametric oscillator
