“Discovery of our true being”

January 2002

Lets welcome 2002 in with an open mind.  This year I wish to asks all practitioners to “focus” on “discovering who we really are”, this will help us to improve ourselves as a person instead of seeing faults in others.

  I wish to ask every one to meditate on this year’s theme and ask “who am I” and “how to improve myself”, after all, MEL is primarily about “self discovery and self improvements”.  When everyone in this world starts to turn inwards and improve ourselves, “blaming others” would stop because we are looking for ways to overcome our situational challenges confronting us, instead of looking of “excuses” and pointing of fingers of who was wrong.

The world as we know it, with all its laws and rules have created our present situation where conflicts are not able to be resolved “without the use of force”.

I believe, it is time to change our “mindset” so that we stop continuing along this path of self-destruction of the whole world.  War is brewing, temptation is there to use “nuclear weapons”, when it comes to that, we are doomed as a mankind. 

We have to re-draw our strategy for “peace and harmony without use of force” so that our planet will remain instead of heading for destruction.

I wish to start 2002, by sharing this thought with all.  IMAGINE, just try to imagine this, PAFF:

PEACE, ACCEPTANCE, FORGIVE and FORGET (P.A.F.F for short)

We place “Peace” as our highest priority in anything that we do in our daily life, nothing else matters.  The consideration for peace shall be our ability to “Accepting” others as they are and “Forgiving and Forgetting” others for their trespasses and for our own trespasses of others.

Where would “hate” be when we only know of forgiveness of other.  When everyone forgive each other for the trespasses because we accept that each is unique, where would “hate” be?

Where would “jealousy” be, when we only know how to forgive others?  Unity and encouragement will take over where jealousy used to rein high.

Where would “destruction” be, when we accept others for being unique, we will only have unity and peace.

Where would “revenge” be when we only know of forgiving others for their trespasses?

Where would “retaliation” be when we only know of peace?

Where would “ego” be when we forget what wonderful work we just did because we forgive?

Where would “money” play in our society where everyone “give” instead of take because we are able to forgive and forget, we foster closer unity because of peace?

I am confident that the world will “turn from its destructive path” to a new “constructive and loving path, because all destructive behaviors “will melt” in the face of peace and love.

Give LOVE a try, by trying out P.A.F.F “Peace, Acceptance, Forgiveness, Forgetting”
