Admitedly
I knew nothing of Hugh until the imminent filming of the first of undoubtely
many X-MEN movies, and acutally it wasn't even the 'actor' so much as Wolverine
that I first became infatuated with. I've been a fan of the X-MEN for a long
time and Wolverine was always my guy. When it was initially determined
that Bryan Singer had cast Dougray Scott as this luscious adamantium infused
canuck I was fairly content, but when Jackman got the final call, I became
instantly intrigued. The mounting media coverage had me totally psyched. Wolverine
is without a doubt the greatest comic to screen conversion in the history
of the known universe - and it's entirely because of Hugh. Obviously Hugh
is spine meltingly beautiful - utterly ravishing, totally hot (you get the
point), but I think what impresses and endears me the most to Hugh is his
infinite love for his wife Deborra-Lee and their young son Oscar Maximillian.
Naturally Hugh isn't the only man to be this way towards his family, but there's
just something about him - he exudes pure bliss at the thought of them. And
that makes him sexier that what a tight body and and soulful face ever could.
Besides, how can you not love a scruffy mutant who brawls in a dirt n' beer
bar in upper Alberta, but can also sing show tunes?! Oh yes, I nearly forgot
- I really admire his incredible eyebrow control and dexterity! ;)

I think
the reason that I became so intrigued was the way he gave three dimensionality
to a character that many of us have loved for years. "Wolverine" has been
my favorite X-Men as long as I can remember and I think that Hugh did an incredible
job making him a "real" character. He brought forth his strength and "bad-assness"
in the fight scenes, vulnerability when it came to dealing with matters of
the heart and people he cared about, ie: Rogue and Jean, and by conveying
a multitude of these characteristics, he also made "Wolverine" a very real
character that the audience could identify with. I mean, who hasn't ever felt
like an outsider or unaccepted, I know I have a number of times in my life.
And, for me, I'm a sucker for that "tough-guy" persona, and one who can be
a smart ass and adorable at the same time! As for the other aspects of Hugh
- all I have to say is those pecs!!! (after the "fight" scene with Jean),
that smile, the intensity of his glare, those green eyes, those arms, I could
go on and on and on.And, that smile...whoever knew a mutant could be so sexy?

Why I
Love Hugh ~ By Lt. Flounder (why do I feel like I'm back in school??) I have
to admit, I was clueless when it came to Hugh. I couldn't find much about
him at first. Then, little by little, things started to pop up. I was interested
in the movie from the beginning - no matter what Singer was doing! So, with
breathless anticipation, I watched and waited, following as closely as I could
to the reports. I caught a glimpse here, and peek there. Then, I saw Hugh.
WOW! Do those Down Under have it lucky! Now, I hope they'll share! He took
my breath away in the film, allowing me to feel and understand the movie through
his eyes. Not many an actor could do this. I was impressed with his talent
and after seeing interviews and reading the articles, I'm impressed with him
overall. Truly a gifted actor, with a promising future! I'm hooked! Long Live
Hugh!

Why
I like Hugh: He's funny, handsome, charming, can sing really well, he's nice
in real life, friendly, has a great smile, tall, well built, sounds like a
caring husband and father, strong.... what else could you want in a man?

I love
Hugh Jackman mainly because of his brilliant portrayal of Wolverine; it was
absolutely perfect. He brought a depth and a realism to our beloved Wolvie
that I don't think anyone else could have. He was everything that, IMHO, Wolverine
should be. Plus he's just so gosh-darned cute!!!(vbg)

I fell
for Wolverine to start with, but after I saw a short interview with him on
CNN, I started to really like the actor. He's handsome, talented, and any
man who does the "Thriller" dance while wearing a Wolverine costume is pretty
cool in my book.
