S.H.P.S. Foundation
The St. Hugh’s Past Students' Foundation was established in 1996. This endowment fund seeks to raise funds to assist with major projects undertaken for the school.
Foundation News:
The Foundation has been granted exemption status from the payment of income
taxes with effective date November, 11 2002. Further the Foundation has been
declared an approved charitable organization for the purposes of Section 13 (1)
(q) of the Income Tax Act with effective date of February 18, 2003. This order
was gazetted in the Jamaica Gazette Supplement Vol. CXXVI, No. 11A, No. 17 B,
dated Wednesday, February 19, 2003.
What this means for us is that all persons making donations to the Foundation, who are resident in Jamaica, will now be able to obtain these sums as a deductible expense. In more Foundation news, as of the 28th of March 2003, with the authority of the Minister of Commerce Science and Technology, the Foundation changed its name to St. Hugh’ Past Students Foundation. This provides further tax savings. The word limited is no longer a part of the name, the Foundation however still enjoys the benefits of a limited liability entity.

C. Helen Robertson, Barbara Gunter, Gwyneth Harold, Christine Marrett, Janice Palmer-Tomlinson, Angela Pennant, Althea Robinson, Beverly Stewart-Williams and Cordell Wilson.
You may contribute by making donations to the account or you may with to consider making the Foundation a beneficiary of your estate.
