HUGSLOW CATTERY specializes in SEKIRK REX, the new breed, with curly, soft coats.

Selkirks make wonderful pets as they are intelligent and affectionate. The many colors, they are, also make them excellent show cats.

The breed began in 1987, in Montana when a mutation was noticed at an animal shelter. A breeder adopted the kitten and developed a new breed from her using Persian, exotic shorthairs, and British shorthairs. She managed to get the best traits from each breed, creating this new, interesting, extraordinary breed.

HUGSLOW has been awarded 4th best shorthair Selkirk Rex (CFA) in 2003 and 3rd and 9th best shorthair, Selkirk Rex, in 2004 and 9th best shorthair, Selkirk Rex kitten.

Located in Covington, Louisiana, USA, Hugslow is deep in the forest, where our little cat residents live in the peace and quiet of a serene setting.

HUGSLOW is a relatively small cattery, giving much individual attention to each new baby kitten.
