Money matters

Reminder, barbecue 18 September, 14h for dead hedge making beforehand.

Green Fair: still not known if the venue will be accessible. May be necessary to cancel, or organise GF for later.

Woodland Trust tree-planting: invitations received.

Meeting venue: any ideas? Any change needs to be announced in next Newsletter at the earliest. Pearson Park Pavilion? RU downstairs?

Cargo report. Bag quantities settled, original compost bins sinking. Burma Drive recycling centre: Hull FoE should have a group visit, also organise exhibition. Contributions of display material to Chrys.

Bus services reduced and more expensive: this will further disadvantage public transport.

Feast: Arthur presented a sample.

Sculcoates cemeteries, North & South of Sculcoates Lane, overgrown, owned by St Mary’s Church, but Church wants Council to take them over. Scheme to clean them up before Council adopts them. Hilary consulting on monuments. Input and volunhteers required. Balance between clean sweep and keeping wildlife habitat.

Hurricane damage in Louisiana aggravated by environmental mismanagement: should HFoE put out a statement? Link with #7 (and #12), write to HDM.

New school building: “Schools for the Future”: these should be built to save energy. Write to Head of Learning Services, Hilary to rpovide information (Endeavour has a turbine!)

David first in Riverside for Barmston Drain community wildlife garden, second in Hull in Bloom for Newland allotments: Congratulations.

Issues & Options, Statement of Community Involvement: Sue mandated to reply Hull Show: David will be using the milk float to deliver stuff: agreed. Meeting closed at 9:48 PM
