Barbecue
The FoE Barbeque was held on Sunday, 19th September, jointly with members of the ‘Junior Wildlife Watch’. Carole and Steve provided a selection of cold dishes, baked potatoes and cups of tea were also available. A more adventurous soul rendered some chicken pieces; there is a fine line between well-done and a burnt offering. The new cutlery was handed out and, fortunately, carefully counted in, otherwise another piece of priceless family stainless steel would have gone missing.
There was time for visitors to look round the wildlife area. Perhaps in future, more members would like to take this opportunity to meet and look at some of the activities on the Newland site.
