Jeff Hultman
Jeff
Hultman, a Native of New England, has resided in Southern California since 1969
and currently resides in Sarasota Florida.
His family includes several professional artists.
Jeff
attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the University of Connecticut and
Southwestern University School of Law. He holds a bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering and a Juris Doctorate. His professional career includes
aerospace research and development with Hughes Aircraft Company, many years as a
corporate banking attorney, and directorship of an Art gallery specializing in
20th Century California watercolors. He
also engages in public and private art instruction and landscape painting.
Mr
Hultman has studied with several famous artists, the most noted among them being
Milford Zornes, N.A. and George Gibson, N.A. He is heavily influenced by early
Chinese landscape, the Fauvists and is also an admirer of the works of JMW
Turner, John Marin, and Charles Burchfield.
As
a lover of the outdoors Jeff seeks to capture the mood and energy he feels
regarding a particular vista while on location. Using water based media he works
quickly to create a highly personalized visual record of his encounter.
Mr.
Hultman's works have appeared in numerous shows and exhibitions.
In 1993 he received International recognition as a participant in the
Texas Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition.
Mr.
Hultman's paintings can be found in private collections throughout the Country
including that of the Hearst family.
